An S/4HANA migration moves a business from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. Depending on how much of the old system a company wants to keep, it chooses a greenfield implementation, a brownfield system conversion, or a selective data transition. SAP S/4HANA Migration course questions
What is the difference between greenfield and brownfield migration?
Greenfield is a fresh S/4HANA implementation where processes are redesigned and only selected data is migrated. Brownfield converts the existing ECC system (configuration, custom code and history) into S/4HANA.
When does SAP ECC support end?
Mainstream maintenance for SAP ECC 6.0 ends in 2027, with optional extended maintenance to 2030. That timeline is driving the current wave of S/4HANA migrations.
Do I need technical skills for this course?
No coding is required. You need working knowledge of at least one SAP module or SAP technical experience so you can relate migration steps to real systems.
